This index assesses logistics infrastructure and delivery efficiency in different countries around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Key aspects of the LPI<\/p>\n<p>The LPI measures logistics performance using six key indicators:<\/p>\n<p>Efficiency of customs procedures (the ease and speed of cargo crossing the border).<br \/>\nQuality of infrastructure (roads, railways, airways, ports, logistics centers).<br \/>\nEase of organizing international transportation (the ease of booking cargo shipments).<br \/>\nCompetence of logistics operators (quality of services of transport companies).<br \/>\nCargo tracking and traceability (ability to control the movement of goods).<br \/>\nOn-time delivery (percentage of cargo arriving on time).<br \/>\nArmenia\u2019s position in the ranking<\/p>\n<p>Among more than 160 countries, Armenia ranked 108th, which indicates an average or low level of logistics efficiency compared to other countries in the region and the world.<\/p>\n<p>Factors influencing Armenia\u2019s position<\/p>\n<p>Geographical location: the lack of access to the sea complicates logistics processes.<br \/>\nInfrastructure: Although work has been carried out in recent years to improve roads and transport nodes, the overall level of logistics infrastructure remains below average.<\/p>\n<p>Trade barriers: the geopolitical situation, closed borders with Turkey and Azerbaijan limit transport routes.<\/p>\n<p>Development of digital solutions: It is necessary to improve digital services for tracking cargo and interacting with customs services.<\/p>\n<p>For comparison,<\/p>\n<p>Georgia ranked 79th, which is due to the availability of seaports and a more developed transport system.<\/p>\n<p>Russia ranked 58th, thanks to its strong railway network and improved logistics.<br \/>\nThe leaders of the rating are Germany, Singapore and the Netherlands, where logistics is a highly developed industry.<\/p>\n<p>Armenia&#8217;s prospects and challenges<\/p>\n<p>To improve Armenia&#8217;s rating in the future, it is necessary:<\/p>\n<p>Development of road and railway infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Optimization of customs procedures and reduction of bureaucracy.<\/p>\n<p>Improvement of digital solutions for logistics.<\/p>\n<p>Expansion of trade links and transport routes.<\/p>\n<p>This rating shows that Armenia still has serious work to do in the logistics sector to improve its position in the global ranking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2024, Armenia ranked 108th in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) published by the World Bank.
